What we collect right now

Auburn Fan Network has not launched. The only thing on this site today is the Founding Network signup and two contact forms. Through those we collect:

• Your email address — required, so we can tell you when AFN opens.
• Your name — what you want to be called.
• Your city — optional, and city-level only.
• Your Auburn connection — alum, student, parent, fan, and so on.
• Your graduation year — optional.
• Whether you offered to help — moderate discussions, or host a watch party.
• Ideas and partner enquiries — whatever you type into those forms.

Location

We never request or store your GPS location, and we never store a street address. You type a city, and a city is all we keep. When the Auburn Fan Map launches, it will be opt-in and will show aggregate counts by city, never individual pins — and a city will not appear at all until enough members are there that no single person can be identified from it.

What we do with it

• Email you about the launch and about Auburn Fan Network itself.
• Understand where the Auburn Family is, so we know which cities to build for first.
• Contact you if you offered to moderate, host, or partner with us.

That is the entire list. We do not use your information for anything else.

What we never do

• We do not sell your information.
• We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not run advertising or third-party tracking on this site.
• We do not email you on behalf of anyone else.

Who can see it

Signup information is stored in a database that the website itself cannot read back. The form can write your entry and cannot retrieve anyone's — including yours. Only Auburn Fan Network administrators can read it, using separate credentials.

Where it is stored

On servers in the United States, operated by our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Supabase). If you are outside the United States, your information is processed there.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Our host may set cookies strictly necessary to serve and secure the site. If we ever add analytics, we will update this page first and choose a provider that does not track individuals across the web.

Age

You must be 13 or older to join Auburn Fan Network. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If we learn we have, we delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has given us their information, email us and we will remove it.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to delete it, or until Auburn Fan Network shuts down — whichever comes first. If AFN never launches, we will delete the founding list rather than keep it sitting around.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from any email we send you.
• Ask what we hold about you and we will tell you.
• Ask us to delete it and we will, promptly.

Email hello@theauburnnetwork.com. You do not need a reason and it will not cost you anything.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or what we do with it, we will update the date at the top and email people on the founding list before the change takes effect.
